Hard Wax (Hot Wax)
Hot wax was the first method of waxing available to modern therapists. As the name suggests the wax can be used at a high temperature (50°C). It is applied in a generous layer then allowed to set. This creates a waxstrip which is then removed against the hair growth. Hot wax extremely successful if used correctly. Hot wax has become more popular again with the high client demand in spa's and salons for more intimate waxing such as Brazilian and Hollywood bikini line waxing. Hot wax is particularly good for area's of strong and stubborn hair growth such as the bikini line area. To ensure client safety it is essential that the therapist completes intensive training to gain a full understanding of warm waxing and knowledge of usage, prior to carrying out Hot waxing treatments.
